The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarship
Applications are now will open for the 2023 AAFP/EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarships.
Since 2016, EveryCat Health Foundation (EveryCat) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) have partnered annually to provide two scholarships for 3rd or 4th-year veterinary students enrolled in an accredited veterinary college or school in the United States or Canada. The two $2,500 awards are based upon academic achievement, financial need, leadership, and dedication to and excellence in the study of feline medicine, health, and welfare. One $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a veterinary student with a feline practice interest and the second $2,500 scholarship to a veterinary student with a clinical scientific research interest. Students may apply once annually.
In addition to a short application form, interested students are required to answer two essay questions, explaining his/her specific interest and background in feline health and welfare, and to describe plans for future participation in feline medicine. All applications are reviewed, selected, and approved by the AAFP and EveryCat.

All applications and supporting documents must be received by March 17, 2023.
Recipients will be notified of the awards on or before April 15th, 2023.
The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) is a professional organization representing feline practitioners who are passionate about the care of cats. The AAFP is dedicated to advancing the field of feline medicine and surgery by setting the standards of feline care through the publication of practice guidelines, position statements, and by providing continuing education.
Through publications, education, and thriving relationships with other organizations, the AAFP engages the veterinary community and its members by facilitating the exchange of scientific data and ideas. The AAFP is a “purrfect” fit as an affiliate organization to EveryCat Health Foundation as demonstrated by our joint scholarship.
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) and EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarship
Applications are now will open for the 2023 AVMF/EveryCat Health Foundation Scholarships.
EveryCat Health Foundation and the American Veterinary Medical Foundation offer one joint scholarship of $2,500 to a second or third year veterinary student with an interest in feline medicine.
Thanks to generous donors, AVMF and EveryCat are offering a second scholarship this year as well.
Applications are open until May 15th. The recipient will be announced in late summer/early fall of 2023 (Fall Semester).
The application is available online for completion on the AVMF website. Please select the EveryCat Health Foundation scholarship during the application process.
In 2022, two scholarships were awarded. The winners were Sarah Nugen Cornell University, and Brittany Allen, The Ohio State University. Congratulations!
